C’est en déplaçant nos interrogations sur l’espace public que
nous
avons
choisi de
nous concentrer sur l’homogénéisation “par la bataille” des
tracés
des
parkings
actuels.
Nombreuses sont les images qui nous renseignent sur ce
qu’étaient
autrefois
les
espaces de stationnement dont une des fonctions était de
compléter
l’implantation
des habitations par des motifs contribuant à la création d’un
vaste
langage
rythmique de la ville.
Le photographe Lucien Hervé nous a laissé quelques témoignages
de
cette
variété
notamment dans la ville du Havre après sa reconstruction.
Ainsi sur le port de Nice, de la ligne déjà tracée d’un parking,
les
artistes
procèdent à un redoublement des consignes pour nous livrer une
fiction
urbaine.

By shifting our questions about public space, we chose to focus on the homogenization "by force" of the layouts of today's parking lots. Numerous images inform us of what parking areas once looked like, one of their functions having been to complement the layout of housing with patterns contributing to the creation of a vast rhythmic language of the city. The photographer Lucien Hervé left us several accounts of this variety, notably in the city of Le Havre after its reconstruction. Thus, on the port of Nice, starting from the already drawn line of a parking lot, the artists proceed to redouble the markings, delivering to us an urban fiction.
